CVE-2023-38626Network attack vector

Sensitive information disclosure via unvalidated URI requests

Published Jan 23, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025

Server-side request forgery in Trend Micro Apex Central 2019 before build 6481 allows remote authenticated users to read internal-service data. The modVulnerabilityProtect module accesses attacker-controlled URIs without validating their destinations, causing the server to request internal or local resources. Exploitation requires authentication and the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target, and disclosed data is exposed in the service account context.
