Improper permissions enforcement in PackageKit allows local users on affected Apple macOS releases to modify protected file-system areas. Apple has not published the specific PackageKit permission check or operation that mishandles an app request. Execution of a local app and user interaction are required; affected releases are Big Sur before 11.7.9, Monterey before 12.6.8, and Ventura before 13.5.
