Browser script execution via unneutralized search filters
Published Jul 24, 2023 · Updated Aug 21, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Carlisting 1.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser via search filters. The /search.php handler fails to neutralize country, state, or city parameter values during page generation. A victim must interact with the crafted request; successful exploitation alters browser-rendered content, with no reported server-side code execution.
