Authenticated OS command execution via hidden console
Published Aug 18, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024
Hidden functionality in Logitec Corporation LAN-WH300N/RE all versions allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands. The published advisories identify a certain management console as the locus but do not disclose the hidden function or how it passes input to the operating system. An attacker must reach the device from the local network and authenticate to that console; successful exploitation grants command execution with the device's privileges.
