Authenticated arbitrary file read via dashboard file parameter
Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Path traversal in Combodo iTop 3.0.0 through 3.0.3 and 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. The dashboard_editor AJAX operation passes its user-controlled file argument to RuntimeDashboard::GetDashboardToEdit(), which invokes file_get_contents() without validating the path when the supplied dashboard ID does not exist. Any authenticated back-office account can extract local files through a PHP filter-chain error oracle, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
