CVE-2023-3849Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Reflected XSS via unencoded find-a-match path

Published Jul 23, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Reflected XSS in mooSocial mooDating 1.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via a crafted /find-a-match URL. The URL handler reflects attacker-controlled path content into an HTML error response without output encoding, allowing an injected image event handler to run. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted URL; script execution occurs in the site's browser origin and can read or alter data available to that session.
