Reflected XSS via misencoded request parameters
Published Jul 25, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Reflected XSS in Apache Felix Health Check Webconsole Plugin 2.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted requests. HealthCheckWebconsolePlugin reflects the tags and overrideGlobalTimeout parameters into single-quoted input attributes using an encoder that leaves apostrophes unescaped. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted request; script runs in the Web Console origin and can read or change data available to that session.
