CVE-2023-38433Network attack vector

Video interruption via hard-coded factory credentials

Published Jul 26, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in Fujitsu IP series firmware allow remote attackers to access the web interface and interrupt video transmission. The firmware embeds factory-testing credentials that can be recovered through reverse engineering and accepted by the web interface. Possession of those credentials permits unauthenticated network access to initialize or reboot the appliance, stopping video encoding or decoding.
