Unauthorized site changes via forged requests
Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in the Taboola WordPress plugin 2.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to change site data via crafted requests. Neither Taboola nor Patchstack has publicly identified the affected endpoint or the request-validation operation that accepts the forged input. The attacker needs no account, but exploitation requires a logged-in WordPress user to interact with attacker-controlled content; no disclosure or outage is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
