Account takeover via attacker-controlled Facebook identity
Published Jun 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Artbees JupiterX Core 3.3.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over WordPress accounts. The unauthenticated Facebook login AJAX handler accepts an email address and attacker-controlled Facebook ID, writes that ID into the matched user's authentication metadata, and returns a login link. Knowing a registered email address is sufficient to obtain that user's session and privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
