CVE-2023-38372Network attack vector

Authorized-user impersonation via exposed authentication tokens

Published Feb 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Improper authentication in IBM Watson IoT Platform 1.0 allows remote attackers to impersonate authorized users with obtained tokens. IBM states that the platform exposes security authentication tokens but does not disclose the affected endpoint or the token-validation error. Exploitation requires possession of a platform token and grants the identity and platform access represented by that token.
