Credential disclosure via embedded Web UI JavaScript
Published Feb 24, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Cross-site scripting in IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.7, 11.2.4, and 12.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in the Web UI. The Web UI accepts and embeds attacker-supplied JavaScript without adequate output neutralization; IBM has not disclosed the affected field or handler. A victim must interact with the crafted content in a trusted session; execution can alter interface content and expose credentials, with no availability impact.
