Remote code execution via improper certificate validation
Published Sep 19, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Improper certificate validation in MiniTool Partition Wizard 12.8 allows remote attackers to execute code via a man-in-the-middle attack. The installation mechanism fails to properly validate certificates while obtaining installer content, allowing an intercepting attacker to supply malicious data. Exploitation requires a man-in-the-middle position during installation and can result in arbitrary code execution on the host.
