Privileged account takeover via crafted API request
Published Aug 4, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
Authentication bypass in Zoho ManageEngine ADManager Plus 7201 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access privileged accounts. The flaw processes a crafted API request from a 2FA-enabled technician and discloses information needed to assume another privileged account; the affected endpoint and validation error are undisclosed. Valid credentials for a 2FA-enabled technician are required; the bounded consequence is takeover of another account, with no reported code execution or service interruption.
