Stored XSS via unencoded real-name rendering
Published Jul 31, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Stored XSS in Webmin 2.021 Users and Groups allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user’s browser. The user-deletion view renders the stored real-name value as active HTML instead of neutralizing it. Exploitation requires permission to create an account and a second user to attempt deletion, exposing that user’s Webmin-session data and actions.
