CVE-2023-38294

System command execution via unprotected broadcast receiver

Published Apr 22, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024

Improper access control in Itel Vision 3 Turbo app 1.8.0(220310_1027) allows local users to execute commands as the system user. The exported com.transsion.autotest.factory/.broadcast.CommandReceiver accepts a broadcast Intent containing a caller-controlled script path and executes that script without a permission check. Any installed third-party app can trigger it without permissions or further user interaction, enabling permission grants, app installation, screen recording, notification access, input injection, and a device wipe.
