Improper BGP path-attribute handling in OpenBGPD before 8.1 allows remote attackers to reset routing sessions via malformed UPDATE data. The bgpd RDE parser fails to advance plen by attr_len after marking a malformed Only-to-Customer attribute invalid, causing remaining data to be misparsed. Exposure requires receipt of the crafted update through a BGP peer; repeated resets can interrupt routed traffic.
