CVE-2023-38235

Sensitive memory disclosure via font parsing

Published Aug 10, 2023 · Updated May 28, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Acrobat Reader 23.003.20244 and earlier allows attackers to disclose sensitive memory from a malicious file. The font parser reads beyond a buffer boundary while processing crafted font data, although Adobe has not disclosed the exact routine or malformed field. Opening the file is required; leaked addresses can weaken ASLR, and Classic 2020 20.005.30467 and earlier is also affected.
