Database compromise via unquoted sorting key
Published Jul 21, 2023 · Updated Oct 16, 2024
SQL injection in Pimcore before 10.6.4 allows remote authenticated users to read, alter, or disrupt the database through dataobject sorting. GridHelperService::prepareListingForGrid concatenated user-influenced sorting identifiers into SQL without quoteIdentifier, allowing injected syntax in the ORDER BY expression. Exploitation requires a high-privilege backend account that can reach dataobject listings; consequences include database disclosure, modification, or denial of service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
