Reflected XSS via unencoded password redisplay
Published Oct 21, 2023 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Reflected XSS in SuperWebMailer 9.00.0.01710 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via crafted passwords. When two submitted passwords differ, superadmincreate.php inserts their values into an error response's plain HTML without encoding or filtering. The endpoint requires no authentication, but user interaction is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied script in the affected site's browser context.
