Service interruption via MSMQ buffer over-read
Published Aug 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Denial of service in Microsoft Message Queuing on affected Windows builds allows remote attackers to interrupt MSMQ via crafted network packets. Microsoft identifies an out-of-bounds read but has not published the affected parser, message field, or invalid bounds operation. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation interrupts MSMQ while confidentiality and integrity remain unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
