Memory corruption in Apple Neural Engine in iOS and iPadOS before 16.6 and watchOS before 9.6 allows local users to execute kernel code. Apple states only that the component used improper memory handling and has not disclosed the affected routine, input, or specific memory-safety error. Exploitation requires a user to run a crafted app on a supported device, after which the app gains kernel privileges and can compromise the device.
