Missing authentication in Inductive Automation Ignition 8.1.24 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication through password changes. The OPC UA Quick Client server configuration exposes password-change functionality without authenticating the request. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, after which the attacker gains authenticated access to the system.
