Unrestricted file upload in NETGEAR ProSAFE NMS300 before 1.7.0.20 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. The MFileUploadController class accepts user-supplied files without validating their type, allowing dangerous files to be placed for execution. The upload endpoint normally requires authentication, but the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed; successful exploitation runs code as SYSTEM.
