Information disclosure via JP2 parser overread
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in the JP2 parser in Tungsten Automation Power PDF before 5.0.0.10.0.23307 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory. The parser inadequately validates user-supplied JP2 data and reads beyond the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires a user to open the file or visit a malicious page; the disclosure can help a separate vulnerability execute code in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
