Code execution via use-after-free in WRL parsing
Published Sep 12, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Use-after-free in Siemens WRL parsing allows attackers to execute code in JT2Go, Teamcenter Visualization, and Plant Simulation via crafted files. The WRL parser accesses memory through an object after that object has been freed while processing a crafted file. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious WRL file, and resulting code runs with the privileges of the current application process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
