Code execution via unchecked WRL stack-buffer copy
Published Sep 12, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stack overflow in JT2Go, Teamcenter Visualization, and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation allows code execution through a crafted WRL file. The WRL parser copies user-supplied data into a stack-based buffer without first validating its length, allowing the copy to exceed the buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file or visit attacker-controlled content, and resulting code runs in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
