Improper CAPTCHA validation in JetBrains YouTrack before 2023.1.16597 allows remote attackers to submit Helpdesk forms without passing CAPTCHA. The Helpdesk form submission path accepts requests without properly validating CAPTCHA responses; JetBrains has not disclosed the responsible function or patch diff. Exposure requires a reachable Helpdesk online form with CAPTCHA enabled and permits automated unwanted ticket creation, with no reported ability to read existing data.
