Authenticated Host header injection via attachment ContentType
Published Jul 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Improper input validation in affected OTRS and OTRS Community Edition releases allows remote authenticated users to inject a Host header. The Generic Interface's TicketCreate and TicketUpdate operations fail to validate an attachment ContentType parameter before using it as header content. Access to either operation is required, and the CNA identifies cache poisoning as the resulting attack pattern.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
