CVE-2023-38025Network attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via hidden Telnet

Published Aug 28, 2023 · Updated Oct 2, 2024

OS command injection in SpotCam FHD 2 firmware 1.0036 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary system commands through hidden Telnet. The hidden Telnet function passes attacker-controlled input to the operating system without neutralizing command elements; no public source identifies the affected function or parameter. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants control of the camera or interrupts its service.
