CVE-2023-38017Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via Web UI script injection

Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026

Cross-site scripting in IBM Cloud Pak System and its Red Hat Linux OS Image allows remote attackers to expose trusted-session credentials. The affected Web UI accepts embedded JavaScript, but IBM has not disclosed the input field, rendering path, or missing output control that permits execution. Network access without authentication is sufficient according to IBM's assessment, and script execution can disclose credentials within a trusted session.
