Credential theft via unchecked HTTP endpoints
Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Missing authorization in Jenkins ElasticBox CI Plugin 5.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture stored credentials. Several HTTP endpoints perform no permission check before connecting to an attacker-specified URL with supplied Jenkins credential IDs. Overall/Read permission and credential IDs obtained through another method are required; the resulting outbound connection discloses the selected credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
