CVE-2023-37960Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Controller file exfiltration via unrestricted attachment path

Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 7, 2024

Path traversal in Jenkins Project MathWorks Polyspace Plugin 1.0.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read controller files. PolyspacePostBuildActions concatenates the fileToAttach job parameter with the workspace path without validation, then FileDataSource attaches the resolved controller file to an email. Exploitation requires Item/Configure permission, configured global Polyspace settings and SMTP, and a job run whose workspace path resolves on the controller.
