Credential disclosure via context-free system credential lookup
Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Credential exposure in Jenkins mabl Plugin 0.0.46 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture system-scoped credentials. MablStepBuilder passes a null item context and ACL.SYSTEM to CredentialsProvider.lookupCredentials, resolving secrets outside the job's authorized context. Item/Configure permission is required, and exposure is limited to string credentials selected through the plugin's mabl API-key fields.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
