CVE-2023-37916Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Password-hash disclosure via uncleared authentication fields

Published Jul 21, 2023 · Updated Oct 10, 2024

Information exposure in KubePi 1.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain user password hashes through user search. The SearchUsers handler returned each user object's populated Authenticate structure; the patch clears that field before serializing search results. Any authenticated account able to call the search endpoint can collect hashes, including the administrator's, for offline password cracking.
