Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in the OptiMonk WordPress plugin 2.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to change the configured account ID. The setting_form() function accepts a forged settings request without validating a WordPress nonce and writes the supplied optiMonk_accountId value. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link, after which the plugin configuration is altered.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
