Unauthenticated code execution via local file inclusion
Published May 17, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in Averta Shortcodes and extra features for Phlox theme 2.14.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to include local PHP files. The public CNA record and linked advisory do not identify the vulnerable function or parameter, disclosing only that attacker-controlled path input reaches a PHP file inclusion operation. Exploitation requires a local PHP file that can be selected for inclusion; successful inclusion reads that file and executes any PHP code it contains.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=2.14.0
- Affected versionversion=n/a <=2.14.0 changes=[{"at":"2.15.0","status":"unaffected"}]
