CVE-2023-37879Network attack vector

Session identifier disclosure via client-visible UID strings

Published Sep 12, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024

Information disclosure in Wing FTP Server 7.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain session identifiers via the User Web Client. The web client places unnecessary UID session strings in client-visible content rather than keeping those sensitive values out of the browser. A victim must interact with the client, and the disclosed identifier exposes session confidentiality without reported data modification or service interruption.
