Credential compromise via unrestricted login attempts
Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Improper rate limiting in Elenos ETG 150 firmware 3.12 allows remote attackers to obtain login credentials by brute force. The administrative login panel accepts at least 165 consecutive invalid-password requests without blocking the client or slowing further attempts. The demonstrated gate is unauthenticated network access to the management interface; a guessed password grants panel access, while service interruption is reported but not demonstrated.
