Authenticated account enumeration via profile response codes
Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Observable response discrepancy in Elenos ETG 150 firmware 3.12 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate user identifiers. The profile-edit REST endpoint returns HTTP 200 for an accessible account, 302 for an existing but inaccessible account, and 404 for a nonexistent identifier. A low-privilege session is required, and the disclosed consequence is account identification and counting rather than access to profile data.
