Stored script execution via task-template name
Published Sep 1, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in General Solutions Steiner GmbH CASE 3 Taskmanagement 3.3 allows attackers to run script in a viewer's browser. The task-template creation workflow stores the unneutralized Name field and renders it when existing templates are viewed, causing embedded event-handler JavaScript to execute. An attacker must be able to create a task template, and a user must later open the template list; execution occurs in that viewer's browser context.
