Stored script execution via unsanitized notification messages
Published Sep 1, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Stored XSS in General Solutions Steiner GmbH CASE 3 Taskmanagement 3.3 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser. The task notification function saves notification.message without neutralizing HTML or JavaScript and renders it whenever open or closed tasks are displayed. A user must display an affected task; the injected script then runs in that user's CASE 3 browser context, enabling data access or actions available to the session.
