Unauthenticated database compromise via activation-hook SQL injection
Published Oct 20, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
SQL injection in Sitolog Application Connect 7.8.a and earlier allows remote attackers to manipulate its database through HTTP requests. The /activate_hook.php endpoint executes a sensitive SQL call from request-controlled parameters without adequate neutralization, enabling blind SQL injection. No authentication or user interaction is required, and reported consequences include data disclosure, administrator access, database deletion, and deployment of payment-card skimming code.
