MailChimp API key disclosure via page source
Published Jul 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information disclosure in Essential Addons for Elementor 5.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read a MailChimp API key. The premium MailChimp widget embeds the configured key in the HTML source of every page on which the block is rendered instead of keeping it server-side. Exposure requires the premium plugin and an enabled MailChimp block on a public page; no authentication or user interaction is required to retrieve the credential.
