Stored XSS via unsanitized routing parameters
Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Oct 30, 2024
Stored XSS in Geeklog 2.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary JavaScript through crafted routing rules. The public_html/admin/router.php routing manager accepts and stores script markup in the Rule and Route fields without neutralizing it, then renders the values as active content. Administrative access is required to save a payload, and the script executes in the browser whenever a user later opens the routing manager.
