Remote code execution via unchecked deviceId copy
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Buffer overflow in Tenda AC1206 15.03.06.23 and AC10 15.03.06.47 allows remote attackers to execute code via deviceId. The saveParentControlInfo function passes the user-controlled deviceId value from src to strcpy without checking its length, overflowing destination heap buffer s. An unauthenticated GET request to /goform/saveParentControlInfo reaches the copy, allowing a router crash or code execution.
