Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked strcpy
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda AC1206 V15.03.06.23 and AC10 V15.03.06.47 allows remote attackers to execute code via an HTTP request. The fromSetWirelessRepeat handler copies the attacker-controlled wpapsk_crypto parameter with strcpy into the fixed-size stack buffer wpapsk_cryptovalue without checking its length. The unauthenticated /goform/fromSetWirelessRepeat endpoint permits a crafted value to crash the router or overwrite control data for code execution.
