Unauthenticated router crash via unchecked SSID copy
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda FH1203 2.0.1.6 allows remote attackers to crash the router via a crafted ssid parameter. The form_fast_setting_wifi_set function passes the user-provided ssid value to strcpy without a length check, overflowing stack buffers v7 and v8. The request needs no privileges or user interaction; public evidence demonstrates memory corruption and a router crash, but not code execution.
