Browser script execution via unsanitized asset src
Published Jul 24, 2023 · Updated Oct 30, 2024
DOM-based cross-site scripting in Assembly Software Trialworks 11.4 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted asset src value. TWProxy places the attacker-controlled value into the client-side DOM without neutralizing HTML or JavaScript, allowing it to escape its attribute context. Execution occurs in a victim's browser after payload delivery, requiring user interaction and exposing page-accessible data or actions to the injected script.
