Fax service disruption via forged deletion request
Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Issabel PBX 4.0.0-6 allows remote attackers to delete virtual fax records via a crafted web page. The Virtual Fax delete action accepts an authenticated POST request without verifying an anti-CSRF token, so a browser can submit attacker-selected delete and fax identifiers with the victim's session. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to visit attacker-controlled content and results in fax-record deletion and interruption of the associated fax service.
